What's wrong with the phone?

Periodically, an error pops up on the phone "closing application attempt to invoke virtual method org.jivesoft.smack.AbstractXMPPConnection" - full text on the screen. The error flashes, sometimes disappears. Recently, the phone has also suddenly rebooted.
Can you please tell me how to find out which application is causing this error or some other problem, and how to get rid of it?
