What's wrong with the Avenir Next font?

The problem is rather narrow, but mb someone came across specifically with such a thing. Font Avenir Next, not Cyrillic. Some letters have very strange behavior - for example, different sizes for 'u' and 'y', hinting for 's'.
Different monitors / browsers / formats - the result is the same, either a very large scale saves, or a size larger than 24px.
Not hijacked/pirated - fonts.com license5f9de1a8eae2b746263998.jpeg

This is a font specific issue on fonts.com. Perhaps they have an old version in which the hinting has not been finalized. Right on their website, in the preview, you can see that problems appear at small font sizes. I additionally checked on the linotype website (font developers) and on the fontshop website - there seem to be no such problems there.
Also, specifically in the case of this font, you can write to [email protected] - they seem to use this address for technical support.
