What's the magic with Open Graph protocol meta tags?

I made myself a simple site - a business card and wanted to make OG meta tags.
I set everything up and I look - the picture does not display the one that I indicated.
Poked and found some bug. If you throw off the address https://ioseogio.github.io/
in VK (copy from the address bar), then it displays the wrong image that I indicated. But if you throw off ioSeoGio.github.io - displays the correct one. What thoughts?
