What rights and user does Wordpress need?

Gentlemen, I moved to VPS and now I like it with the settings. Either Wordpress stops updating, or plugins write that they cannot write anything to the directory.
The rights to everything now cost 755. Changed the user of the wordpress folder to a non-root user (the same as for ftp access).
How to properly configure?

To update from the administrative panel, the folders must be owned by the same user as which the web server is running. Typically, this is www-data.
As for the rights - 750 for folders, 640 for files.
