What resistor can load the phone's memory?
Hello. There is a phone charger. The case says "Output 5.0V 1000mA". I want to determine the real output current using a resistor and a multimeter. What resistor is needed? Thank you.

Weird question. Are you interested in the rated output current (will it give out the declared 1A, then the option is to load 5 ohms with a power of at least 5 W) or how much can it give out to the maximum before the output voltage drops / goes into protection / short-circuit current? Then stock up on resistors or a powerful rheostat.
And so the real output current without load is zero, and under load it depends on its resistance and the power of the source itself, as already written - Ohm's law.
