What questions would you ask a novice Linux administrator in an interview?
What general things would you ask a new Linux admin in an interview? Because, probably, an experienced Linux administrator will be asked something deeper and more highly specialized, but what requirements (you yourself or in your company) would impose on a beginner? What commands, what services does he need to know 100%?

is a very good list of interview questions
I am not an admin myself. But he is involved in the sector of information technology exploitation at enterprises. Developed and implemented.
I don't think the question sounds right. In our time, it is not the enikey worker that is valued, but the automator. Therefore, the Linux administrator should be able to automate the routine. That is, not to "knock on the keys" but to be able to take bash / python to do a routine action on a variety of files or configurations.
On commands - I will not tell. But it seems to me that the question here is not in commands (nslookup / dig), but in understanding networks and protocols. In understanding the top level of architecture. And if this level is clear, then it does not matter which team. It's the same as asking a builder if he knows "level" or "plumb."
What questions would you ask a new Linux administrator?Depends on a bunch of different things.
Networks, understand what, how and why it works, understand the functions of the main network protocols. Such things as the axis model and dns are asked by almost every social security. After answering such seemingly "simple" questions, it is already possible to make an assessment of a person's knowledge. The command line, of course, the question can be absolutely of any nature) from the category "I need to do it this way" - "how / what will you do it?" Well, of course, it’s good to brag that you know how to twist something yourself, all sorts of belancers, lamps, etc., automation. and it all depends on the job itself. It can be absolutely anything) There should be at least a basic understanding of such things as monitoring, databases, cloud) I was often asked about both docker and aws, even for a junior position) sometimes just questions at social security begin with a banal, what can you do? what do you know?
About a dozen questions in different areas of administration :) And not even for knowledge, but for the ability to apply this knowledge. I have a couple of favorite questions :) Knowledge of networks, the ability to get into the server without knowing the password, working with the command line, sed / awk / grep, lvm, servicing one or another distribution (they always take not an abstract Lunix admin, but an admin with knowledge of such distribution), knowledge of certain programs.
In general, the list of questions depends on the vacancy - under what they take a person. Maybe he will analyze the logs there, he needs to know ELK by heart, and everything else is in the air ...
