What questions should be in the design brief?

What questions about the design concept of the site does it make sense to ask the client at the initial meeting, except for the following?
1. List of sites whose design you like.
2. List of sites whose design you don't like.
3. List of competitor sites.
4. Brand book and previous style of the company.
5. Color preference.
Naturally, during the meeting, passing questions will also be asked, but I would like to have an idea about the questions marked *must be asked.

A basic list of website redesign questions that I send to a client, but it is not necessary to answer all the questions, you can skip a part.
1. What is the initial purpose of the site, in your opinion, what task should it solve in the first place?
2. What the site should have, in contrast to the current version of the design.
3. Are there things you like about the current design?
4. In general, why do you not like the current design?
5. Do you have an idea about the target audience of the landing page, who are your customers in the first place?
6. What information would you like to present to the user in the first place?
7. Do you have any additional thoughts that you would like to see on the main page?
8. Are there competitor sites that you like?
9. What do you like about competitor sites? Are there specific features?
10. Are there any advantages that make you stand out from your competitors?
11. Highlight a few sites that you like, regardless of subject matter.
12. If possible, highlight the sites that you do not like
. In general, I highly recommend reading the book "Design is work", it explains in detail what needs to be done before taking the order.

According to example sites, yes, but you need to demand to write what exactly you like on each of them .
There were times when I didn't like the site, but the company itself, or its assortment, the fullness of the site, etc.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
