What programs are available for handwritten notes (Win/Linux)?

There is a graphic tablet bamboo cth-470, I want to use it for handwriting. (Just recording, no recognition) What are the programs for recording these "drawings"? Ideally, they align the handwriting.
Ps I know that onenote will suit my requirements, but it's impossible to use it because of the thin cursor (it's just not clear where you will write). + it is not available under linux
