What program to make a paletted PNG with 8-bit transparency?

We need just such a format (you have to replace the palette).
As long as I do this. I make sure that there are really no more than 256 colors, and set PNGOUT. The file becomes palette, but obviously you should not expect that for 100% of the pictures it will work that way.
There is also an idea to write your own utility - it takes the 32-bit and 8-bit versions, from one TRNS, from the other everything else.

Pngquant - console utility, supports PNG8 with alpha transparency (windows, mac, linux)
TruePNG - console utility, PNG optimizer, incl. can convert to PNG8 with alpha transparency (windows)
Color quantizer - many possibilities (windows)

As far as I remember, Adobe Fireworks can save in this format
