What program for working with video in ubuntu would you recommend?

Hello, advise programs from free.
I want to try to work with video (editing and creating effects). I can not decide which program to choose for this purpose.
Once upon a time, very, in Vegas I had to work with fraps) Maybe in the penguin, too, there is something worthy of attention?

OpenShot
, but in general and in general with convenient and stable programs for working with video under Linux, the situation is much worse than with Windows and MacOSX.
so that they don’t say that “Linux is full of free programs”, in reality such programs turn out to be either primitive or buggy or inconvenient or slow.
Unfortunately, the impression is that they were written on the knee.
dealt with all of the above.
Lightworks, OpenShot, kdenlive. And with others.
To the level of a simple Sony Vegas, that under Windows, even Lightworks itself, developed from them, is only approaching.

Tried different programs, all have some flaws. In terms of functionality and ease of use, I liked kdenlive the most, it has shortcomings with stability and some bugs in gluing effects. A year and a half ago, it was hellishly difficult to get the assembly of more than a two-hour film. Since then, I have only made short videos for a maximum of 15-20 minutes, maybe it has become better with longer ones.
