I want to make my own linux distribution based on an existing one?

There is a porteus linux distribution. I really liked it and I used it for about a year, until there was a hard drive on the laptop. But in it the core and some packages are a little old, although relevant. I want to make my own version based on this distribution, with the latest kernel and software. What do I need for this? Cut out the mention of the word "Porteus" from the distribution and indicate somewhere (where exactly?) that my distribution is based on "Porteus".
PS: I'll ask you not to joke about "Bolgenos")
PS2: Linux and Open Source are created for this, so that if a person is not satisfied with something, he takes everything he needs and sculpts it into one heap. This is how distributions are made.

I want to make my own version based on this distribution, with the latest kernel and software. What do I need for this? Remove mention of the word "Porteus" from the distribution

That is, you have already solved all the problems of creating your own original distribution kit?
Is it already unique and worthy of its own name?
And the matter remains small? Rename?
There are detailed instructions already.
