What partitions to create and how much space to allocate for Debian?

Hello!
I want to install Debian on my home PC. There is the following configuration:

  • 16gb ram
  • 128gb ssd
  • 1tb hdd

What sections to create, how much space to allocate for them and on which hard drive? It would be great to get a list of how to break everything :)
The main thing is that there should be a fast loading of the OS and software. All other files will be on hdd. Also, is there a need for a swap partition?
Thank you!

Cyril , Roll everything in / on the SSD. If the SSD is large, then /home can be allocated separately on it (it will be easier with reinstalling the distribution, but the space will be spent less economically).
swap can create a giga for 4 if there is not enough RAM (16 or less). But this can be done not only as a separate section, but simply as a file on another section later.
HDD separately for downloads, music, movies, games, media collections and the like. But by no means for /home.

For beginners, I would recommend using the usual "auto-partitioning" of the disk, the only thing that can be done is to immediately move home to the HDD.
As you understand and experience, you will be able to derive a breakdown scheme for yourself, because here all felt-tip pens taste different.

For starters, trust the installer and create everything on ssd. Then, create one (or more) partitions on the hdd and mount it to your home, and use a large and non-system thread to store something .....
