What parameters to look for when choosing a monitor?

Guys, tell me the monitor for work, not the model, but the parameters:
My eyes began to hurt very much, by the evening it was impossible to work at all - I have a rather old LCD monitor.
The only thing I know is that you need to look at the number of hertz.
I choose to work with code, wide full hd, not for graphics. Budget model, 21-24 inches.

I'm not an expert, but maybe you should pay attention to monitors without PWM, well, an IPS / VA matrix. (I use this one myself, I sit with a brightness of 60-70% and a cut blue spectrum by 10%, the colors remain their own, nothing is distorted, although if the monitor is not for graphics, it probably does not matter)
This does not apply to eye fatigue, but so it will be a plus if the power supply is external and when it fails it will be much easier to buy another one than to hand over the monitor for repair.

Essentially, none. Because everything is individual.
+ Maybe it's not specifically in the monitor.

See that your eyes do not hurt. In the window, peer into the working monica. That's all.
