What OS is suitable for i586?

I came across an ancient netbook with an i586 processor, I just can’t find the OS)
Which one is suitable for such an architecture?)

dos, win 3.1, win95. It is unlikely that win98 / ME will work, since even on a Pentium 2 this axis did not work very well for me, judging by the assurances of those who installed it then.
win 3.1 is essentially a beautiful shell for dos, so it's better to use wine 95 or something old from Linux. And anyway, I have no idea what to use it for, except to put a turbopascal / BASIC and use it as a programmable computer, although even a smartphone is more suitable for these purposes. Browsers, word processors of those times are no longer supported - they will create more problems. Games .. woo ... duke nukem, space quest, doom, doom2d, quake, maybe even anril the first .. carmageddon, maybe even half the first .. Eh .. nostalgia)
