What operating system to choose for programming games on Unity3D?

Since I had no experience in game development before, I ask for advice.
I plan to study development on Unity3D. At home I have Mac and Windows, but the computer with Windows is already old and hence the question is, is it worth upgrading the computer with Windows or is it possible to develop on Mac Pro?
What pitfalls can I face if I develop on a Mac?

Look at what you've worked on before. If you have experience with a poppy, then, of course, it will be more convenient for you, but if on Windows, then continue there further.
