What needs to be done to make the monitoring mode work?

I'm trying to install usb-wifi TP-LINK WN 722N to scan the network
The driver installed from here https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu and everything is fine, but this driver does not support monitoring mode

Where people manage to add the monitoring mode to the driver But I
don't understand what sequence to follow all 4. sudo make install The comments say 1- download kernel from kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git
2- patch your commit with patch -p1 < rtl8188eu.patch
3- make oldconfig
4-make menuconfig and make rtl8188eu (y)
5- make
but I don't understand what you mean
please help with a word!
