What modules to use for Apache 2.4 to improve performance?

Hello. There is a project on Drupal 7 and vps hosting in the following configuration:
1 vCore(s)
2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
10 GB SSD The
question is: how to improve the performance of Apache, what is used in 2018, and what is no longer relevant? (in search engines, basically, all articles for 2012-2015)
I plan to install mod_pagespeed and php-fpm.

Try ditching Apache in favor of nginx.
