What methods of exchanging information with remote objects through excel vba exist?

I am writing a script that will be executed on the server 24/7, what can be used so that the user can get data from the server by going to the excel book to execute the macro? So far, I have come up with only a wild crutch in the form of exporting mail from outlook, but I would like to do without unnecessary programs and with a minimum number of libraries. Perhaps you know the solution through google spreadsheets (I write in python)? However, excel is preferred.
