What methods of creating an adaptive grid are currently relevant?

There is an article 4 simple ways to implement an adaptive grid layout , but it is from 2014, are all the methods relevant now and has anything changed with flexbox support due to MS's refusal from IE?

I have been using the flexbox grid for a long time (if the grid is needed at all on the site). Well, it's just terribly convenient, if you write it correctly. His support is good enough to start using right now. Well, if you need ie, then writing a fallback for it will not be difficult!

I use everything from Bootstrap and do not bother with the question of what is relevant and what is not!

So, for starters, he did not refuse IE, but simply renamed it.

And I liked the Skeleton.
Based on it, I made my own grid with "clerfix and wrappers"))
