What methods do you use to sort and store files?

Hello, I'm interested in how you sort files on your computers.
I was puzzled by this problem, created a root structure and several attachments, but I can’t figure out which method is more logical: by the type of files or by their washing away?
Here are some examples:
1. It is more logical to store a training video in the ..\video\study folder, focusing on the fact that it is still a video, or ..\study\video, taking into account what exactly these are training materials?
2. There is a downloaded image of the game (let's say the Witcher), as well as a soundtrack, wallpapers, art and mods. It is more logical to store all this data in ..\games\witcher, focusing on the fact that they all refer to this game or each type in its own folder - ..\music\soundtrack\witcher, ..\wallpapers\witcher, etc. ?

with video is more difficult, but usually it is stored on torrents, it’s not so much relevant at any time so as not to remember where it is
