My question is, what material do I need to find and learn to do this?

Perhaps there are already ready-made tutorials where there is an explanation of how to work with drag and drop and creating html elements in the canvas area?

There is no canvas there, there is purely DOM work going on. Tutorials on drag&drop are googled at times - learn.javascript.ru/drag-and-drop

If it says BUILD YOUR PAGE BY DRAGGING ELEMENTS ONTO THE CANVAS, this does not mean that Canvas technology is used there.
