What mailer to use in ubuntu 12 for fail2ban and monit services?

I am using vps on ubuntu 12 to host wordpress sites. To protect the server, I use fail2ban and monit. Tell me what mail program to use in order to send letters from fail2ban and monit to a gmail account. Something simpler in the settings.

Exim from the evil one, get confused in its configs, Postfix is our everything
If, in essence, Postfix is easier to configure, moreover, there is a wonderful book The Book of Postfix (available in Russian) which describes all the basic principles of configuration very clearly and intelligibly. I didn’t find anything similar for exim, and therefore, I recommend starting with Postfix
