What literature to read on non-linear regression analysis?

Good afternoon!
Please advise literature on non-linear regression analysis. It is often necessary to select a nonlinear function to solve practical problems. The problem is in choosing the type of regression curve.

I will not recommend literature, but I can state that the dependence in each case is different, due to the nature of the phenomenon on which the sample is made. Moreover, in most cases, the dependence is too complex and large. Therefore, you can use 3 methods of dependency selection:
- stretch any "suitable" function onto the sample by selecting its parameters
- similarly to the previous one, stretch the functions over the sample intervals, and trim and connect along the edges
- similar to the previous one, but instead of trimming the functions, they are summarized over the entire sample
