What license to buy for ESXi?

I have a two-processor server with ESXi 6.5 free on it. Limitation - up to 8 cores per virtual machine, I need more. What is the minimum licensing solution? One company sent me a version for 700,000 (vcenter, esxi standart), I think it's too much for my tasks (vcenter, esxi standart)
As I understand it, VMware vSphere 6 Essentials (35,000) + Subscription only for 6 Essentials Kit (5000 ) is enough for me )

Help to understand.

ESXi licensing is expensive. But if you have one host and there is not and will not be a second one, vCenter can not be bought yet - for a single-host system it is what it is, what it is not.
