Law in IT
Sergey, 2014-08-31 00:01:20

What laws should an administrator or an IT specialist read?

Well, in order to know your rights, what you can do, what you can’t, what is the responsibility for illegal software, for example, what you can encrypt, what you can’t, what activities require a license, what not, etc. Just for general development.

It's strange, the question has been hanging for a long time, like:
01. The Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses - we are united in offenses. Everyone in the Russian Federation should know them better.
02. Civil Code (part one, for a general understanding, I advise everyone, part 4 - actually what it is about).
03. Law "On Licensing Certain Types of Activities": rather tediously written
04. Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection"
05. Federal Law "On Digital Signature" is very entertaining, especially in the context of by-laws of the FSB and other special. services. Try it at your leisure - a lot of interesting things.
In general, there are a lot of by-laws in this area, a more detailed, specific description is needed. If you are interested - write a comment, I will try to add.

Well, you can also add all sorts of Frequency Licensing Laws (in my practice there was a trial when wifi with an amplifier was installed and the allowed power was slightly exceeded there). Then 152AP about personal data, because inside a corporate directory with contacts can very easily slightly violate this law. The main thing is to have a job description at your workplace agreed with lawyers and signed by the director. Well, know about copyright and related rights laws, because even free programs can have fads about "non-home" use
