What language should I learn to develop apps for iphone/android?

I am going to develop applications for mobile devices (under iOS Android). Tell me what programming languages to choose?
Interested in the issue of switching to Swift for iOS. Should I learn ObjectiveC or start with Swift right away?
Recommend good books (available in English).

Android - Java. iOS - Objective-C/Swift.
If we are talking about games, then you can use Unity3D (C#/JavaSctript), Cocos2D (C++/Python) for example.

For what purpose are you interested? If it's for fun, then it doesn't matter. If you want to work - choose one platform and learn one language. If iOS is still Objective-C, Swift is not being asked yet.
But when you already learn one thing, then you can take on the rest.
