What language / framework to choose for writing a desktop client for a site?

Hello, according to TK, you need to write a desktop client for a corporate site. Api are already ready, it remains to choose a language / framework for writing the application itself.
Please tell me what is the most optimal tool for cross-platform development (I looked towards java or QtC++)

Write in Qt - there will be native code, not intermediate as in .NET / Java

Take java, 100% cross-platform. Easier than C++, lots of handy features in the core, will reduce development time.
Java is professional and serious, the choice of serious companies, not hipsters.
Created for desktop and carries all the power to implement desktop applications, unlike python or ruby.
Java allows you to create a great GUI out of the box.
Jre is installed on almost all PCs, if not installed, it's not a problem.
You don’t need native code, it makes no sense if you don’t have ancient rubbish at work for which performance is very important.
