What kind of router is needed for a medium office?

There was a question. You need an office router that can easily route 30-50 users.

There is an office, 50 people work there, three servers (file, domain and wine terminal server for 1C). About 30 and all the time they have access to the Internet (IP telephony, Skype voice, mail services). Now there is an old computer on the server with a proxy that performs all this, but it has already begun to crumble regularly. We want to take a full-fledged router that would do all this and could work with two providers at once ... But the problem is that I don’t know at all what characteristics a router should have ... More precisely, what minimums should be for such a number of users.

See how much money there is. Of the ciscos , you can choose something from 2800 , although you still have to plug in the necessary expansion card, and you can compare the performance here . In favor of Mikrotik, the price, in favor of the cisco, more functionality, scalability, documentation and community. And with the advent of Mikrotiks, it’s better not to look at routers from other manufacturers)

I would look towards microtik, for example, the model (RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN) is the most for you, flexible settings and rich functionality for its price.

Take Microtik - a very good, reliable, and inexpensive thing for small and medium offices. There is a lot of functionality there, and it’s not difficult to fine-tune it.

In light of the sanctions, I recommend forgetting about the cisco. Look towards Mikrotik or Chinese. The main load is usually the vpn server. To do this, you must have a percentage separately for encryption (or built-in). Also, the main parameter for choosing equipment that you did not specify is the width of the channel in the Internet.

2x100 Mbps "declared" Internet. But as they say - declared. There is still a problem that a remote second office is still connecting to the database and the main office is divided into two rooms, where this router is still a bridge between them and the server.

Look at Huawei products - cisco clones, but they cost significantly less.
