What kind of labels appeared in the new Sublime?

In the Sublime update, as I understand it, built-in support for changes to the git appeared. Previously, this function was performed by GitGutter. But why does Sublime highlight files that are not git?

This is a file in a regular folder, opened in Sublime. What does this selection mean if it's not a git?
