What is wrong with java code?

Please help me figure out what's wrong with the code. The program does not respond to an event (note sound).
In theory, it should be like this:
- a pink window opens (works)
- notes are played sequentially from low to high (works)
- rectangles of different sizes and shapes should appear in time with the notes (does not work)
