What is transparent encryption, I did not find a clear answer on Google and wiki. And I would also be grateful for a link to a resource where there is this definition and infa on it.

This is when encrypted data is stored in the storage (database or somewhere else), and you work with them through the application as with unencrypted data, decryption and encryption of data occurs at a low level that is not visible to your application.
