What is the Youtube API quota?

Hello. I'm reading the youtube api doc and can't figure it out. API key quota 10000 units. So, is the quota given to each account (logged in using the API key), or for the entire API key?
The API key is the key of the developer who writes the software
. If you imagine, I wrote software with my own API key and distributed it to users.
I use it and another 100 people
And do all 100 people have a common limit? Or is there a limit of 10,000 units per account?

The quota, apparently, is not the key, but the entire "project".
All 100 people - yes, the limit is common.
But the good news is that this limit can be raised. As usage grows and approaches the quota ceiling, you can request a quota increase yourself.
Or, as I recently had, they themselves noticed, sent a letter that, they say, we are raising the quota.

I don't understand at all what is the point of youtube api if it has limitations, it turns out I create an application, users come in and it falls due to these quotas ??? how does it even work?
