There are courses with sandboxes (previously it was htmlacademy.ru, codeacademy.com and codeschool.com, now there are probably even more) - the good thing is that all changes are immediately visible in the minibrowser and progress is evaluated by the validator. After them, it is much easier to read the official documentation and decipher other people's examples.
