What is the purpose of choosing visual c ++, and not, for example, c sharp?

Are there any considerations to use Visual C++ with Microsoft libraries instead of C# when programming under Windows or Linux, or is it just an educational language in which industrial software is not written?

Now, in fact, Visual C++ and Visual Studio are inseparable.
And in any case, programming under Linux with libs from Microsoft will not work.

I'm ashamed to live in a world where C++ is called an educational language...
All "beautiful" industrial software is written in .NET.
All fast industrial software is written in assemblers.

Yep, most games are developed in a learning language. It’s educational, everyone apparently studied on it, they know, others don’t know, so they make games on what they know.

C++ and C# are different programming languages. C++ is chosen when it is better suited for solving the tasks (for example, when the speed of the program or the amount of memory consumed is critical).

This is what I meant, but educational from the point of view that in Visual Studio with Windows libraries, it makes no sense to develop software. And it exists, just so that no one would say that it does not exist.
