What is the problem with Zentyal?

I decided to install Zentyal on my home server (from the installation disk). Delivered version 2.0, because. has already been recorded on CD. Started to set up, everything went fine. And then I went to offsite and read about new versions (and new goodies in them). I decided to rearrange (cleanly). Tried both 3.5, and 3.4, and 3.2. Outcome:
3.5 - installed, but when loading a black screen and a cursor. The desktop context menu opens. Went through it to the console. when trying to execute any command with root rights, an error pops up that the sudo type cannot be used (I don’t remember exactly what I wrote and there is no way to re-read it either). When trying to call something related to the system from the same menu (desktop, open a folder, etc.), a message pops up that the start tag was not found in the .../openbox/lxde-rc.xml file, opening this one through the console the file saw that it was empty. When I try to open the Zentyal control panel through the browser, about 5 errors fall out.
3.4 - set. I started to configure, in the process it turned out that the RADIUS service was not running. The first 2 attempts to restart it ended with a message that everything is OK, but the radius never started. On the third time, however, a message appeared that an error occurred when starting the details in such and such a log. Got into the log, it turned out that in one of the scripts the def_path variable (it seems to be called that) is not declared.
3.2 - set. Even the radius earned. All you need to set up. But when you try to connect Iphone to WI-FI, the following happens: select an access point-> enter an existing login-password-> accept an unknown certificate-> a message that the login-password is not correct. In Zentyal itself, in the radius log, it says that the login is not correct.
And now the question is: am I a fool or too "lucky"? But in essence, are these versions so raw or am I doing something wrong?

My attitude towards Zentyal is close to negative. those. there seems to be an effect, but not always, and it causes a feeling that this only spoils the attitude of novice admins.
I myself didn’t install Zentyal 3.5, I can’t say what’s wrong there, but I also turned 3.0 and 3.2 in my hands, 3.0 is still standing, but already idle. how to do something, so something always flies there.
regarding the installation: install without a graphical part, go to the machine via https, and control it over the network. what specific services do not work normally - well, read the zentula forum, there is also a Russian community there.
