What is the problem when installing Ubuntu?

When installing Ubuntu, Windows operating systems are not visible. The setup only offers to erase the disc. The "Install side by side..." option is missing. On another machine, everything went fine with the same flash USB. What is the reason?

Is there a free place to install? And which BIOS is UEFI, or Legacy BIOS mode?
My motherboard is H61 chipset, UEFI bios. Installed seven first, then Ubuntu 13.10. The BIOS has a choice of UEFI or Legacy Boot. I have a 500GB disk with an MBR partition table. Legacy Boot is selected in BIOS. I am attaching screenshots. If your Legacy Boot does not allow you to choose, then you need to dig an Ubuntu installation with a UEFI bios and a GPT table.
If I were you, I would still play around, sometimes Windows is needed (very rarely, but I still use it). And you can probably close the topic yourself by putting "solved"
