What is the optimal maximum content width for a responsive site?

Good afternoon.
I asked myself a question, what do you think is the optimal width of the content for the site with the maximum size of the browser window? We are considering a variant of a modern site, the creators of which take into account the variety of screen sizes and want to make their site user-friendly.
Previously, everyone was talking about 960/980/1024px, but this was true 10 years ago, but now the time is different. I repeat, we are talking about the maximum value (someone thinks that the site should be in the entire 100% window width, someone prefers a strictly fixed 960 or 1024 and just add a mobile version to it). Share your opinion. I’ll write mine below so that those who agree can like it, and those who disagree can give arguments.
I think this information will be useful to many others, from beginners to experienced developers.

I consider the optimal size in the region from 1440 to 1600px, subject to the presence of sidebars or other columns (if there is only one column, then it should not be wide, otherwise the text will be impossible to read). The statistics of popular resolutions confirms this.
You don't have to look far for examples: The toaster has a content width of 1440px, which is convenient. Content takes up most of the screen and navigation is done through sidebars. Moreover, it is possible to make in a similar vein not only an information service or a news site, but also a commercial site or a store.
