What is the name of the area of programming associated with the creation of 3D models from photos?

I need a developer to help create software that, given a standardized series of photos from different angles as input, could build a 3D model (map) of a face.
The problem is that I can't figure out exactly what area of programming this task belongs to, so it's hard to start searching.
