What is the minimum required to start working on odesk (or similar)?

On odesk or similar foreign exchanges, I looked at similar questions about freelancing a bit and decided that I should only freelance on foreign exchanges, because dumping is not so bad, prices are on average higher and all that.
I will deal with the web, I think for a start to master something narrow, the same wordpress, or landings. (if there are other good options, write).
So the question is, what is the minimum set of skills to be able to take on some projects and complete them efficiently and on time. Money is not so important now, as they say, ready at first for food and experience.
