What is the maximum number of gigabytes that can be uploaded to Telegram?

I send a lot of files to telegrams (I duplicate the local photo library with many archives). I was wondering what is the restriction in telegrams for downloading? The maximum volume is 1.5 gigs. And how many such files of 1.5 gigabytes can be sent? It's scary that after some sent file I will stupidly get a ban. Tell me who knows.

To disclose such restrictions would be a strategic mistake on the part of Durov for a number of reasons:

  1. As long as the volumes do not create problems and fit into the existing capacities, creating the illusion of unlimited abundance of disk space is a good PR move that fuels interest in the messenger.
  2. As soon as the limits are clearly defined, those who want to "feel" them will immediately appear. There will be many such applicants, and they will begin to whine when the limits have to be cut because of this. Any lovers of misuse of freebies, having learned about specific limits, will produce and upload accounts to the eyeballs to store their junk. Obviously. that such parasites will only harm Telegram, and they will whine all over the Internet, complaining that either the limits are constantly being cut and “what should we expect next”, or that these parasites are banned for not using the service for the intended purpose, but they “just wanted archives with send with labs". Yeah.
  3. The license for sure (I really didn’t read it, because I’m too lazy) says that the cart can be used as much as possible and not as much as possible. But you need to ban for this only the most stubborn and by lottery, so that you can’t calculate a strict algorithm and do everything to take the maximum freebie, but not fall for a ban.

I understand that you are asking the question from the other side of the trench. I understand your motivation.
However, if I were developing a similar system, I would try:
  • describe the restrictions as vaguely as possible;
  • describe the rules as generally as possible (so that you can ban any abuser, and you can’t get to the bottom, they say, why they don’t ban him, but they banned me);
  • make the rules for blocking the most inconvenient and hemorrhoid users as non-obvious and inconsistent as possible.

It's possible that there is a behind-the-scenes disk space limit for an account, or there are limits that are enforced due to abuse, but officially Telegram does not limit this size in any way. The documentation says nothing about this.
PS Someone even uses Telegram as an unlimited network drive.
