What is the maximum number of clients that can be on one IP address?
Once I ran two virtual machines on VMware Workstation at the same time. In total, it turned out that I went to Google from 4 devices from the same IP address at the same time. From a host machine, from a smartphone, from VM1 and from VM2. After that, many sites using reCAPTCHA or CloudFlare began to consider me a bot and stopped letting me in. Often insanity turns into absurdity and in order to search on Google you need to pass the "I'm not a robot" check. Previously, the problem was solved by the provider, my IP address changes automatically every 3 days. Now it has not changed for a month and I have a month of problems with the Internet.
The forums are talking about strange activity from the local network. I ask a counter question: How many devices can be on one NAT IP at the same time? Can virtual machines be used?

you get fired for some other reason, a print or something else
As many as you like, otherwise entire organizations with fleets of several thousand machines sit from one IP. It's just that recaptcha has a complex algorithm for determining and if the same site is simultaneously broken from several computers behind nat, then it implies a botnet by such an action, and if you just surf, then, usually, everything is fine
