What is the literature on operating system development?

I need literature on developing my operating system in C or C++ (and assembly, of course). Can you advise something?

As far as I know, there is no such literature. It is assumed that those who are going to write their own OS have a good understanding of how hardware and existing operating systems work.

Apparently, for a start, you need to read Tanenbaum's "Modern Operating Systems", there you will get acquainted with how the OS is arranged.

I won't say anything about books, but try it here .

Linus Torvals and Bill Gates also asked these questions on the toaster and ended up writing their own operating systems.

I haven't really worked with these books myself, but at first glance, this is exactly what you need.
