What is the level of security if I provided my bank card number?

If I gave a person full passport data and a bank card number
(for example, in a lease agreement), then how vulnerable can my money be in this account?
Naturally, I realize that you can’t give anyone any pin codes, no authorization codes, no logins, no passwords, even they call from anywhere. Well, about sms and mms too, I don’t answer and don’t send anything.

You can only tell strangers the FI, number and expiration date of the card, you can also tell the card account number in the bank - this information is enough if a person or organization needs to transfer money to you, everything else: PIN, CVC, CVV is confidential information, also on a card with illuminated data, it is necessary to set limits for withdrawing and transferring money, blocking operations in foreign countries and operations on the Internet (or enable two-factor authentication, then when working on the Internet site, in addition to CVV, the call will ask for a password), and SMS informing will not be superfluous. But for the most part, this is just paranoia.

You always have to be a little paranoid. Ideally, the transmission of this information should not harm in any way. In reality, it is worth banning Internet payments from the card and making a separate virtual card for them. You never know, bank employees will blunt and someone will be able to pretend to be you.

If it's a debit card, what's the point of keeping money on it?

Previously, there were definitely online services that allowed you to pay for something through yourself, having only the card number, expiration date and owner's FI. And there were cards that, through such turbidity, calmly gave money away. Surely such services have survived to this day.
In general, the verdict is that it is unsafe to report the number of your main card. It is better to receive money on a separate card, then immediately transfer it to the main one.
And best of all, if you are not in a hurry, give the usual payment details (account number and that's all) - everyone knows how to send money to them, except that they will go a little longer.

IMHO, it is more correct to indicate the account number in the lease agreement.

There is no SMS informing
in the USA. In the USA, by calling hotels.com, you can reserve a hotel room by giving the card number / date / c2.
But Russian billing companies in the USA and UK are blacklisted, you need to write a statement that your store is ready to accept payments from these countries.
