Not really... The latest version of the so-called. "old" Skype - 6.22, after it went the seventh.
Also not quite. I'm still successfully using 6.18, because I managed to plug all the holes for auto-upgrade. MS threatens to transfer all Skype to the web - then perhaps the entire desktop Windows Skype will fall off, and it will be time to switch to a pre-prepared alternative. In the meantime, 6.18 works fine - without ads, with a convenient chat and other familiar features.

Since Microsoft finally forcibly closed the Skype connection for older versions, I had to upgrade to the latest available version 7.34.66.102, and I was surprised to find that it still supports the Skype API (at least Miranda clings to Skype, and the main (which so far have been verified) operations are supported ...
