What is the font for writing the letter v (speed) in formulas?

Dear forum users!

There is a textbook on physics, typed in Word, quite large - 300 pages, a hundred figures and half a thousand formulas. Font of the main text and formulas - Times New Roman, formulas are typed in MathType. The editor is satisfied, except for the following - the letter v , denoting speed, looks like this in my Times New Roman:

In literature, this letter is usually written differently:

Here, z and phi look different, but this is secondary.

The question is how, with minimal effort, can I remake this letter in my house so that it looks like in the literature (without sharpening from below, with a more pronounced bend at the top left)? Probably, it needs a different font, but what will be combined with Times New Roman (v occurs both in separate formulas and in the middle of the text)?

It is best to use the letter of the English alphabet "v". If you really really need to show off - the Greek character nu ( https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+03BD ).
Another font will not help you much, what is in the first case, what is in the second
