What is the difference between targeted instagram advertising and post promotion (business account)?
After all, with any paid promotion of a post, we choose (target the audience), why, then, is this advertisement sometimes classified in different categories? What's the Difference? Or is it the same thing?
Or do you mean post promotion can only be on Instagram, and targeted advertising can be on Facebook and messenger?

Targeted advertising can be anything, in Ads Manager you can create almost any ad and promote it even in Stories.
Promo posts are the promotion of a specific post from an account, at least it is used as content for an advertisement.

There are different types of ads on Instagram and in all cases there is targeting.
