What is the difference between issuing requests in Yandex between "buy an elephant" and "buy + an elephant"?

What is the difference between issuing queries: "buy elephant" and "buy + elephant"? Yandex gives slightly different results for these requests with a difference in a couple of positions.
buy an elephant
buy + an elephant
What is the difference? Why is the distribution different?

You suggest everyone here to find the difference in requests. The question did not sound like this: what is the difference in requests, and not what is the difference in issuance!
There are a huge bunch of sites on the network, and the logic of search engines does not fit into simple ones: this will give you 10 sites, and this is 100500.
Here is the answer to the question about the issue:
Imagine that there are only 10 sites on the network. In each there is the word "dumbass", and in five there is the word "seeks".
So, the query "stupid looking for" will return a list of 10 sites, and "stupid + looking for" - from five.
But there are not 10 sites in the network, and not even 10,000. What surprises you so much in the issuance is not clear to me. If you are thinking about which request to focus on, then it’s a no brainer that the first one, since + units are entered only if they are not trying to find a 1 + 1 movie.

What will Yandex look for for the query [Petr + Barabashkin]? Why doesn't the plus sign work in such cases?
The plus operator is specified incorrectly in the [Peter+Barabashkin] query, as well as in the [Peter + Barabashkin] query. Correct spelling - there should be a space before the plus, but the word itself with a plus should be written together: [Peter + Barabashkin]. Upon request, there will be documents where the words "Peter" and "Barabashkin" are not very far away, and the word "Barabashkin" should be present at all costs, and the word "Peter" - if possible.
If you want both search words to be found in the found documents, specify [+Petr +Barabashkin].

The "+" symbol is used when the presence of a word is required for a relevant answer. This is especially true when a preposition is an important word, since it can have a reduced value when ranking.
