What is the difference between a router and a Mikrotik switch?

There are routers in the catalog: hEX
There are switches: RB260 Tell me
, what is the fundamental difference?
In hardware? Or a 260 version of RouterOS called SwOS ?
Or is it fundamentally different built cars?

There is nothing from the router in SwitchOS. He knows how to work with VLANs, with access lists. But it's a switch. It does not route packets, but forwards them from port to port, nothing more. SwOS is ONLY controlled by the web.
hEX is a full-featured router with full-fledged RouterOS on board. There is nothing in common between them.
