What is the difference between androidx.cardview.widget.CardViewand com.google.android.material.card.MaterialCardView?

MaterialCardView is part of the new MaterialDesign library. It even looks different from CardView.
Which one to use is up to you. But if you are making an application in the new material design (which is called material design 2.0), then it would be more logical to use MaterialCardView.
