What is the current threat for online piracy in the Russian Federation?
Hello!
More and more often I began to see news that some owner of a pirated resource is imprisoned, but ... why is someone imprisoned, while someone's domain is simply blocked?
How is this generally regulated in the Russian Federation?
How do they prove involvement in a particular site?
How can they prove involvement if the domain (and hosting) has confidential information about the owner and is registered outside the Russian legal zone?
And how will the law behave if the site initially contains a ton of pirated content, but the author is ready to constantly comply with the requirements of the copyright holders and consider every complaint?
